just finished connecting all the DIN/DOUT modules. now just the frontpanel needs to be stuffed and connected, then the hardware side is finished. ![]()
the first panel containing 4×8 of the 4×16 LEDs ist working! hooray!
so far only the green LEDs are wired. so much cables to solder
i made some nice wooden sidepanels for the case

i use 10mm duo-color LEDs as buttons, glued on top of some micro switches:

after searching for a nice casing (impossible!) and looking at the schaeffer frontpanel prices i came to the conclusion to invest the same money into some new powertools and do it myself
here is my new drillpress an my micro circular saw

an here is the beginning of a nice and stylish alu frontpanel with the first 2 LED buttons

here is another design study. it’s true to scale.

i think this is quite near to the final panel…
just not sure about the colors :-/ and i need a good name for the synth!
using libUSB i created a host application to send .wav files to the synth.
so far the controller chip is already receiving the raw PCM data, displaying it on some LEDs.
next step is to store it in the flash and then hopefuly I will hear a basedrum ![]()
