after months i found some time to continue working on the hardware…

now all the sequencer LED buttons are build and wired.

i hope soon the hardware will be ready so i can start to fill this baby with life :)

just finished connecting all the DIN/DOUT modules. now just the frontpanel needs to be stuffed and connected, then the hardware side is finished. :)

finished soldering I/O modules

all together i have 96 outs and 80 ins ^^

after searching for a nice casing (impossible!) and looking at the schaeffer frontpanel prices i came to the conclusion to invest the same money into some new powertools and do it myself :)

design study

13. September 2008

here is another design study. it’s true to scale.

i think this is quite near to the final panel…

just not sure about the colors :-/ and i need a good name for the synth!

host application development

10. September 2008

using libUSB i created a host application to send .wav files to the synth.

so far the controller chip is already receiving the raw PCM data, displaying it on some LEDs.

next step is to store it in the flash and then hopefuly I will hear a basedrum ;)
